A poor strike rate during a rain sodden first week of our second month had us 7 points adrift. The going generally settled and we quickly recovered with an 80%+ SR during the second week – then the rains came in earnest and we decided to hang up the betting boots till it all blows over. For the flat turf the ground generally needs to be good or better. When the going settles, so will the form – and the results. In the meantime, we just need to be patient and bet only when the conditions are in our favour – not the bookies’.
